Antonella Cunsolo Studio

Born in Sicily in 1974, she graduated in Psychology from La Sapienza University of Rome, specializing in Family and Relational Psychotherapy at the CTR. She completed training in Phototherapy with Canadian phototherapist J. Weiser.

Her passion for photography began at an early age, thanks to her father, who loved to photograph her often. She began with urban and landscape photography, particularly focusing on the rural world. She later dedicated herself to portraiture and street photography, studying with Italian and international masters. She also specialized in fashion photography at the prestigious Kaverdash Academy in Milan.

Her projects blend art, psychology, and the study of people and the places they inhabit.

She is the author of two books: "Io non muoio" (I Do Not Die) and "Noi siamo bellezza" (We Are Beauty).

Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at various festivals, galleries, and museums.

Dal 2013 approfondisce le conoscenze anche sulla Fotografia ad Infrarosso ed acquista anche due macchine appositamente modificate con spettro diverso: 720 e 590 Nm.

Sempre nello stesso anno fonda a Catania l’Associazione Culturale ed Artistica oggi denominata “Art’è Fotografia”, di cui è attuale Presidente e dove insegna Fotografia per tutte le età e i livelli. Coniuga in tal modo, dopo più di 10 anni di docenza in materie umanistiche, la passione per l’insegnamento con quella della fotografia.

Ha collaborato con vari Brand nell’ambito della Moda e ricevuto riconoscimenti in diversi concorsi fotografici internazionali e pubblicazioni su riviste on line e cartacee. Ha partecipato anche a diverse collettive fotografiche e svolto il ruolo di giudice in diversi concorsi.

E’ intervenuta in varie conferenze, eventi e meeting in tutta Italia relativi l’ambito fotografico (tra i più importanti quello nel 2013 al Festival della Fotografia Sociale di Perugia sul tema “Dalla percezione visiva alla percezione di sé: Fotograf(f)iare per raccontare e raccontarsi”). In tale sede relaziona di un progetto di fototerapia svolto con 2 gruppi a Catania, in cui ha utilizzato la Tecnica del Graffio dell’Immagine dell’artista Bruno Taddei, unitamente alle Tecniche di Fototerapia apprese seguendo i workshops della fototerapeuta canadese Judy Weiser.

Nel 2016 viene pubblicato il suo primo libro “Io Non Muoio” (Editore Bonanno) che racconta, attraverso le immagini, il percorso fotografico e psicologico di 5 donne, realizzato in collaborazione con il centro di oncologia Humanitas di Catania. Il lavoro è stato anche oggetto della prima Mostra Fotografica personale.

Il 21 Marzo 2019 un'altra Mostra Fotografica personale, nata dal progetto "Noi siamo Bellezza" svolto in collaborazione con l'Associazione famiglie persone Down, con diverse tappe siciliane, tra cui le più importanti Palazzo della Cultura a Catania e Castel di Tusa a Messina.

A Dicembre 2019 arriva il secondo libro “Noi Siamo Bellezza” (Edizioni BAM) dall’omonimo progetto.

Da Giugno 2022 altra Mostra Fotografica personale con diverse tappe italiane, dal titolo “Tu per me sei importante”, una “finestra” sull’Affido Familiare.
